Making Memories and Meeting Needs for Boys & Girls Since 2009

The Boys & Girls Club of the North Country (BGCNC) was founded in 2005 in response to the pressing need for affordable, high-quality childcare and programming in the greater Littleton, NH area. For nearly 20 years, BGCNC has significantly enriched the lives of working families and their children, providing opportunities for young people from less advantaged economic and social circumstances, helping them shape their future. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe and positive place for all the children of the North Country, under the guidance of caring adults. BGCNC serves over one hundred children each year with two main programs: a daily after-school program and all-day vacation camps throughout the year. During the school year, children are provided transportation from five schools to our clubhouse. We offer a variety of creative opportunities and encourage daily physical activities that serve as a positive outlet where children can safely express themselves, learn, and play.

In keeping with our mission to leave no child behind, we recognize the need for our Club to financially assist families who need support. To remain affordable for families, yet continue to be sustainable, the financial support that the Turtle Ridge Foundation (TRF) has provided us since 2009, year after year, has significantly impacted our ability to do just that! Through their annual event sponsorships and participation, along with many years of grant funding and donations, TRF has provided opportunities to improve our Clubhouse, supply us with equipment and materials needed for daily programs and offer camp experiences like field trips and transportation that may not have been obtainable. Recently, TRF was one of the first major funders for our upcoming outdoor field pavilion where the children will be able to remain in the fresh air longer each day, protected from the weather to enjoy sports activities, programming, entertainment, and meals for many years to come!
