Past Events

August 27 & 28, 2011 - 4rd Annual BodeBash '10 Golf & Tennis Classic
Thank you again to all our BodeBash '11 participants and supporters for making our event such a success despite Hurricane Irene trying to dampen our spirits. The weekend kicked off at Tamarack Tennis Camp with an afternoon mixed doubles tournament with competitors ranging from beginners at age 9 all the way up to top ranked players from all across the country. Local favorites Bode Miller and Gary Hirshberg were eliminated earlier than expected but the excitement continued as Tamarack Alumni Matty Larson and Jake Dexter took the win home! We introduced wheelchair tennis participants to the competition this year as well as a demonstration and chance for able bodied friends to give it a try! Following a gorgeous day of tennis, spectating, gourmet food & beverages and a silent auction we moved our event over the hill to Maplewood County Club the next morning for a very wet 18 hole shotgun scramble. Even under the most brutal conditions of a full on Hurricane, not a one called it quits and we finished up a quick 18 with open bar provided by Bode personally, raffle and the team win going to Alpine Lawn Care.  A very big thank you to our title sponsor, Stonyfield Farm as well as all the other individuals and organizations that insured the success of this important fundraiser for TRF.

May 19, 2011 - Turtle Ridge Foundation’s Inaugural Charity Poker Night
With help from a couple of TRF supports and NYC based board members, we hosted our first Poker Night in the city that never sleeps at Stout on West 33rd Street on Thursday May 19th. We welcomed 100 registered players and their guest to a  No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament organized, managed and instructed by Smash Entertainment. Prizes were awarded to the final table in the form of Visa Gift Cards. In addition to the poker excitement, there was an open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres and exciting silent & live auctions, run by GrandStand Sports and Memorabilia, that included unique items, experiences and collectibles. This event was tremendous success for TRF and offered a new audience and awareness to our mission.
